2014 World Qualifying 3-Move Tournament in Louisville, KY
The winner of the WQT bid was awarded to Michael Holmes. The winner of the tournament will have the honor of playing the world champion. The event has never been held in the U.S. We're expecting the best players from around the world to play in this tournament. The WCDF 3-Move QT (Open Division) has never played in the USA in the past. In addition to the Louisville, Kentucky bid by Holmes, Gerry Lopez made a Las Vegas bid.

Its official, the WCDF World Qualifier & Woman/Youth Championship (3-Move) is scheduled November 13th - 16th has changed venue:
Best Western Hotel (still in Louisville area, across the Ohio River in Indiana) will now be used for the November WCDF Qualifier & Woman’s world championship.
Hotel address for site of tournament: Best Western - Green Tree Inn, 1425 Broadway Street, Clarksville, IN 47129. 812-288-9281. (map) $95.00 per day for 2 Queen beds includes breakfast. Block is for WCDF. November 11-16 (play 13-16) 15 minutes without traffic from Louisville Airport. 4 minutes from downtown Louisville. Restaurants within walking distance (Golden Corral, Bob Evans, Mexican place); Walmart and Target are just a couple of minutes away by car.

The Room charges are $94.99, plus tax, per night (after tax the total nightly charges will be $105.44). Therefore, the complete total for the 5 nights (with a Check-in date of November 11 & Check-out of November 16), room & tax charges will be $527.20.USA Selections for 2014 World Qualifier & Woman's Championship on November 13-16 are Alex Moiseyev (WCDF), Jim Morrison (ACF), Joe Moore (ACF), Charles Freeman (ICHF), Alex Holmes (ICHF), Wilma Wolverton (USA), and Kim Willis (USA). As of date of printing, there is still one more ACF pick to come, in addition to possibly more women players. Other Master Players who are current ACF members and are interested to participate may enter through affiliation ($100) of a state checker association to WCDF, a process which permits two additional nominations due by October 13.
